A question for the Floridians
I don't know what made me think of this, but if I was on vacation in Florida driving a rental car around, I'd have no idea.
If you're driving, and an alligator is in the road blocking your way and not moving, how long do you honk your horn at it before you just run it over? Does this ever happen? Do they just move when you get close to them? I couldn't think of any other animal where the animal is both scary enough that I wouldn't get out of the car, but also slow and lumbering enough that I could imagine it sitting there for hours even while you honk your horn.
