Time for Kerlikowske to Go

I hope Dan Savage is right that this will be the end of Kerlikowske's tenure as Seattle Police Chief. I wasn't familiar with the incident involving Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes in 2005, but The Stranger did cover it when it first happened. The Seattle Times article from today makes it pretty clear that certain officers within the department believe that it's their job to target African-Americans and don't see any problem with using excessive force. Adding onto that how Chief Kerlikowske excused the behavior of two cops who roughed up and likely planted drugs on a wheelchair-bound African-American in January, when it's known that those cops have had a long history of problems with the black community, the chief himself is clearly part of the problem.
